I’m a designer, creative director, and entrepreneur who likes turning ideas into things people can see, use, visit, or experience.

My career has never followed a particularly straight line. I started in marketing and communications, moved into architecture and business development, earned an MBA, co-founded a brewery, and somewhere along the way built a graphic design practice. For the past 20 years, I’ve worked across brand identity, graphic and web design, packaging, publications, presentations, campaigns, and events—often combining creative work with the business thinking behind it.

 

I’m particularly drawn to projects where I can work across disciplines: developing an identity and figuring out how it comes to life, helping an established company rethink how it presents itself, or taking an idea from a sketch to something real. I’ve worked with architecture and engineering firms, consumer brands, startups, restaurants and hospitality businesses, while building and operating Portico Brewing in Somerville.

 

Today, I work with companies both as a hands-on designer and as a creative partner—taking on individual branding and design projects as well as broader creative direction for organizations that need senior-level thinking without necessarily needing a full-time creative director.
